SeaScare and Porch Light Parade - City of Brier
August 12, 2026
The Brier Library Presents . . . KidScare
August 7, 2026 - Brier Park - 10:30 am
Ahoy, Mateys!
Join your fellow buccaneers for a thunderin' grrrrrreat time at Brier Library's KidScare!
We'll be getting ready for SeaScare with stories, songs, games and crafts, plus grub and grog (snacks and juice). We will also be joined by a Sno-Isle Libraries Bookmobile and South County Fire with an opportunity to get close-up look at a fire truck!
We encourage the kids to meet back at the library with their pirate hats on at 6:00 pm on August 13th to walk with us in the SeaScare Parade!
Pre-Registration will be required and linked here - when it is available.
Contact us with questions or to request a sign language interpreter. For other event accommodations contact your local library staff. Providing at least one weeks notice prior to the event will help to ensure availability.
Do you know the words to the Carmichael Song - You Should!
“Carmichael, the Sea Cucumber Evocation” (trad.)
Carmichael! Carmichael!
Carmichael, the Sea Cucumber,
Wake ye from your slimy slumber now!
Slippy, drippy, slithery ray,
Carmichael, come out to play.
It’s Sea Cucumber day today!
Up from the bottom of the ocean,
Set yourself in locomotion.
Swim on up to Brier, hurray!
Carmichael, Oh Carmichael,
Forecast the weather cycle,
Six more weeks
And SeaScare’s on it’s way!
And this quote from KidScare -
"If you wear it like this, you can see out of both eyes" - Brilliant!
